MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. Alicia Matayoshi received her DMD degree from University of Pennsylvania in 1999. Previously, she obtained her DDS degree from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1987. In 1989 she was awarded with a scholarship to study Dental Implants at Hiroshima University in Japan. In 1993, she joined the Department of Bone & Mineral Research at Washington University in Saint Louis, where she studied the cell that resorb bone (osteoclast). After dedicating several years to reseach, she was eager to go back and pursue her career in Dentistry. After graduation from University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Matayoshi completed her General Dentistry Residency Program at Washington University School of Medicine in 2000. After practicing Dentistry for several years in Saint Louis, Missouri, Dr.Matayoshi, her husband Robert and son moved to the Jacksonville area. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis with Robert, reading and riding bicycle with her son Matthew. |
